hi, if i was to wide arch my r and then bring the wheels out to the arch level using spacers and longer wheel studs, would this improve or damage my handling?

i always say yes it will but strain on the car (some peeps will disagree) and never like using them. remember though to change the offset of the wheels to compensate for extra distance fromt the hubs

it will put extra stress on the car but nothing too major, the cars designed to be a rally car so is up to the extra stress but you may find that it knocks out wheel bearings quicker than normal and you may over time have other problems that develop more frequently than normal :?:

Make it too much wider and it will spin easier, main prob with GrpB rally cars. Will make the track of the car into a square rather than a rectangle, better turn in but more twitchy and more oversteer.
