i got one when i bought it and never fitted it. i noticed that i would have to make a new rear parcel shelf as it looked like the brace would be a bit higher than parcel location point.any body got round this?

It shouldn't affect it tbh, the shelf sits on the two outer panels whereas the brace bolts to the strut top mount studs which is a good few inches lower. You may have to trim the arch liner carpet though.

looks like the MDF with have to be involved. how much difference does the brace make. i have gotta have the 6x9s in to drown out the R rattles

Is it a road car? Probably not much difference. (clicky) - Especially if you haven't done anything else.
If it's a track car, then it's a different matter... again though it's something to be done in combination with other parts.
