Whineing

When the car is cold it whines, once warmed up its not so bad. Also im having problems with first and secong gear!

check ur oil level in the gearbox!!

whinning can be the main shaft or the diff.

And if you've no idea when the gearbox oil was last changed, then it might be a good idea to get it changed.

Every now and then i get this dreadful whineing noise coming from the passenger side of my car :?: :?: :?:

































Seems to clear up when the missus aint sat in it :lol:

Whining can be coming from the wheel bearing as well. These can come and go. My wheel bearing was fkt and it started, then the noise went away, and after sometime came back... dont know jsut a suggestion.

I suppose u know if its coming from the wheels or not....

Mine does this in first gear. It's done it since I imported the car in Nov 02 and has got no better or worse since. Even after putting better oil in the box. I put it down to how the gears are designed. Straight cut boxes whine in all gears !
