while i've the engine and box out, what should i change?!

As above, have the engine and box out, anything i should look out to change?
Was thinking the water hoses at the back of the block.

Also when i turn the wheels from a standstill or very low speed the steering cracks and clonks. Would this be the rack? There was a split in one of the rubber boots on the rack.

Take your starter apart and clean up the brushes and comutator.

Clutch master cyl seals?

Look at the clutch and clutch release arm / piviot while they are out.

Get all 7 water hoses changed.

Starter motor is a must.

While it's out and if you have a f/m/i/c get rid of all the t/m/i/c brackets. They weigh a ton and will serve no purpose if you have a f/m.

Check your master cylider for any signs of leaks.

Get the steering rack / bushes changed while your at it. PM Ashills for some of his uprated steering rack bushes.

still have tmic unfortunately,

have the uprated steering bushes, just not fitted yet, so will do them,

ap organic only has 3,000km's on it so should be ok buit will check it anyway,

will also check thew other things you mentioned,

only takes 1.5 hours to change oil pump in situ ;-)
