Where's the rev limiter?

Is there a one on GTIRs once they've been derestricted? I've revved the bolloks off it to see if there is one (I'm just a curious one) but thought my engine was goin to blow up & it hadn't hit anything so I lifted off :?

think the limiter was set at 7 grand from the factory but some of the ecus or chips can raise that

thats strange, my rev limiter is sat in the passenger side and limits at about 5000 rpm. Its makes all these weird noises as well,

'Slow down'
'Your driving too fast'
'Watch that guy in front'
'Dont you dare overtake'
'Pull back a bit'

etc.....



P.s, I think the factory rev limit is 7800 rpm, but don't quote me...

your lucky mine used to limit mine to 3000rpm :shock: :shock:

Yea, thinkin about it, I have one of those faulty limiters as well. Try over riding it by just keeping your toe down, sometimes it works for me but then at other times it goes mad and over heats everything!

well i traded mine in for a 2.2 pulsar and now can choose whatever limiter i like :lol: :lol:
