where does this wire go????

hi all

I am putting the engine back in the car and i have come across a wire i havent seen before could any of you help me??


the wire comes throught the alternator loom and is dangling i have attached a photo.


the car has had the ac taken off before i bought it but i never noticed this cable before.

It is yellow and black

sure its not a spare for lights etc. is there one at the other side too?

that wires redundant as it would have gone to ac pump
