When my gtir gets warm after about 10 mins it runs like it has got the hand break on. I konw that some of this problem is to do with the intercooler on the top of the engine but i hope someone has got any suggestions on what else it could be?

What is this limpo mode? Is it the same thing as the safe mode that people keep going on about??

My car can hardly move and people keep sugesting that it has gone into safe mode.

yes limp/safe mode same thing
Limp home mode, and safe mode are not the same thing, IIRC, there was a post recently describing the difference, it was taken from the manual and was pretty usefull. Basically, if in safe mode it wont be as quick, if in limp mode, it will hardly move (as the name suggests  )
Try doing a search, that will tell you the difference
