wheel clearance

Is this clearance between strut and tyre acceptable and safe? they are the rears with maximum negative camber using camber bolts. The pic is of the car on jacks. I wonder if the clearance changes when put on its own weight.

You might find that once you let it sit down on its own weight it might drop a little closer to the tyre?

My set-up is a little like that, however that's when its sat under its own weight.

I'd just drop it down and see how far it moves 1st.

I wouldn't worry about it, i've got even less of a gap than that since going upto 225 wide R888's and they've never rubbed anywhere ;-)

Actually they are 225/45 R888 running on 16's, 8" wide and 30 offset.

I will put it on its own weight and recheck and i'll take it from there.

Thanks for the input.

Trip I think you should have used a 35 offset....but don't bother it isi exactly the same on my R and I've never had any problem......and I drove it also through muddy roads:p:p:p:p and 3300 km from UK to my home town:p
