Whats this?

What is the little black box beside the air filter ? It has 1 hose going to it and 1 electrical connector. Looks like the hose is badly cracked and wondered how important it was.

Its the pressure sensor for the boost gauge in the dash

i always thought it was a map sensor :?

think i have know worked out that our car's ain't fitted with a Map and a MAF sensor, d'oh!
