What turbo?

Anyone got any recommendations for a turbo?

I ideally want to get 400-420hp and 350lbft+ but want to minimise turbo lag so it will probably be a roller bearing type.

ND offer aroller bearing type turbo one rated at 450hp and they also do a rollerbearing super hybrid one but that is 'only' rated at 370hp.

Anyone got any suggestions or experiences?

On a side note the jgybb37 is now the same as the gt2871r and is built by garrett for them

i've got no idea where you'd get one as i bought mine second hand of some 'dodgy old geezer' .

but it wasnt to laggy considering it was huge and supported a max of 420bhp. :twisted:

I think Edd has the HKS GTRS on his and it made 431(?) bhp at 1.3bar. No doubt he'll correct me if the figures are wrong.

I think my GTIR probably makes between (400 to 430 hp realistic). It shows 237.5kw at the wheels. This is with a 500hp(rated turbo GT3040) at 1.6 bar with booster. Some get higher with this turbo. About 450 hp was target goal when the 3040 was selected.

The 3040(500hp) turbo on my gtir(with built motor) drops the lag between 4500 to 5000rpm after that all hell breaks loose :twisted: .

My friend has a GT28R on his GTIR powered NX2000, it works really great, dual ball bearing and no fucking lag :lol:
