what size rims with stock suspension

need to change off teh stock 14in rims with either 16 or 17`s.im keeping the stock suspension cause im selling the car.



my last R i sold i put a set of 17x7 in with 40 offset and had to replace the suspension cause the front tire wouldnt clear the front strut

so on a 16 and 17in what wight and offset do i need to go with so it wont touch the shocks and struts.

what wight then, or dont go bigger then 6.5 or 7 in?

I thought lots of peope ran 17 with the stock setup and wouldn't of thought many peope were geting a 35 offset on the wheels. I assume they must be running spacers then?

remember im staying with the stock suspension and on my last R the rims were 17x7 with 40 offset. i stuck on a 5 mm spacer and it still didnt fit the stock struts.

davey red R are u using stock or aftermarket suspension and what is the offset on your rims?

Will 16s fit without a problem?

I assume the rubbing is due to the tyre width and offset on the 17 which would be smaller on the 16s.
