what mods would i need to see 330ish bhp thanks
About 400bhp - the engine is really very strong, so you really need to be pushing for power before you have to start replacing the internals.Sorry to hijack the thread but how far can you go (without losing reliability and driveability) without taking the engine apart other than for an uprated head gasket?
I don't mind changing injectors/turbos etc.....even an uprated head gasket would be acceptable, it's when you start changing pistons/cranks/bearings etc that I'd draw the line. That said, 400bhp is a LOT and I'd be happy with less than that but if more was fairly easily available then it'd be tempting.About 400bhp - the engine is really very strong, so you really need to be pushing for power before you have to start replacing the internals.
...although I could have that wrong too. I suspect my calculation for the injectors is an 80% duty cycle.
As well as what pobody has said, its important that the fuelling is spot on. Also i would of thought what sort of life the engine has had previous to you buying the car; was it serviced/maintained regularly etcSorry to hijack the thread but how far can you go (without losing reliability and driveability) without taking the engine apart other than for an uprated head gasket?
You can effectively reach 280-300 bhp just for the price of a drill bit!!
