Finally getting to the end of sorting this fire hazard of an R, Every single bit of the wire loom had been butchered at some point and nothing worked. Looks like a stevie wonder special

Anyways Its the cylinder looking thing located below the starter motor

It has 2 wires coming from it which were attached, when i say attached i mean twisted together no connectors or insulating tape.

It's a bit hard to tell, but I'd take a guess that's the speed sender in the top of the transfer case.

It ok just worked out its the speedo sensor
