Well thats wot I would have thought, as it does in mine. However I cant think of anything else it can be and it certainly looks like an earthing line...geetee said:
They are earth straps. Instead of, or aswell as, earthing through the plug, they earth straight to the chassis or rocker cover in this case.
I forget what the company is called who make them but, it has been proved that it is a gimmick. They have no benefit over other aftermarket or in our case Nissan OEM leads.
However, you will notice a difference if you re-earth the car with a grounding kit. I made my own for about £20. Result is general smoother running i.e. acceleration etc.. and brighter headlights. Basically, anything electrical on the car will improve

They are earth leads, the leads have a capacitor built in to amplify the spark, think they're Nology Hotwires or something similar.
