what does a screamer pipe do?? it sounds like it does something rather loud!!! I have no idea what it does.....moved to correct section-skiddusmarkus

when you have an external wastegate- its the pipe that the wastegate vents the exhaust from.

so what's the benifit of having an external wastegate & screemer pipe??

an externaly vented wastegate removes the turbulence from the main exhaust pipe that an integrated wastegate (standard) vent would cause.

This is very loud (hence the name) and not emmissions friendly though it does provide a boost in performance.
