I've been having a few problems with my new R.

It's a 100% standard model on a L plate.

The problem is that when it first gets warm enough to put my foot down it pulls smoothly nad strongly. After say 20-30mins when the car gets hot it seems to lack power in a big way. But the boost guage is still going up as normal.

All the guages say the car is happy and normal, as in not to hot. It's not smoking at all, and the intercooler seems fine.

Any ideas???

Also if I was to remove the pannel for the side bonnet grill above where my standard filter is do you think this could help?

have a search in problems solving for fault codes, and do a check using a paper clip, if it comes up 5,5 its all ok there.

Also make sure you run it on optimax, as jap fuel is 100 ron and optimax is the closest.

The ecu maybe detecting det and retarding the ignition and boost to protect the engine.

What boost does it show when it's ok and when it fells slow?

If it's a freshly imported one, it may still be set for 100ron and need the timing retarding slightly.
