Welding forged alloy wheels

I have a set of forged Rays TE37s but one of them has a crack on the inside of the wheel.Has anyone had alloys welded before?Any problems?I live in Derbyshire and cba driving too far to have it done.

Does this look repairable?

Yes it's repairable send it to a proper company though to be repaired (preferable by someone who is a coded welder)

There is a place in northampton that specialise in alloy wheel repair they weld and even straighten and re-shape (make round again) they dont do the cosmetic stuff though just the structural repairs so they are ready for re-furb.

You normally have to take the wheel in before they will price it up but ive paid between £50-£80

That crack seems to be more like fatigue crack.......so it's best to cut the crack 2 a couple o inches and then weld it.

Been quoted £50+ vat to fix the wheel and £55+vat each to refurb and powder coat the rest of them.Thats with IanJenson.
