welding diffs

It would be horrific. I presume you mean rear and centre? If I turn rear and centre diff lock on, on my shogun, on anything other than Ice/snow/mud its horrific. It basically does not want to turn - dont do it.

I used to have a Rc jeep with 4wd and some hurdles it just could not get up. so i took it apart and welded the axles together and all of a sudden it got up everywhere, only thing was battery time reduced loads...

Er... yeah.

There are technically three differentials in a GTi-R: and open front dif (so that it goes around corners without tyre squeal); the limited-slip rear dif (so that the rear pretty-much always goes in a straight line); and the viscous coupling between the two that splits the power to the front or back depending on where needs it.

There are LSD kits for the front axle, but I'm not sure how you'd get on with it on the road. It's not designed to operate with the difs locked.

the above is drivel.....

Fact's

the car will not go round corner's with welded diff's,and would prob break driveshafts, gearbox and transfer box,

would work very well on the quarter mile though.

there is alot to explain about this but on the road or track it won't work

Great in a straight line but other than that, Pants. If you want the benefits associated to a locked diff (constant drive etc) then get an LSD where you get the best of both worlds. The car will be far more drivable. Out of interest, what do you want to lock the diffs up for?
