VE head on the GTIR.

Hi everyone,

After my last weekend with my engine rebuilt.....a thought crossed my mind....what if I will do a head conversion on my R?!

Now....please share and tell what this conversion can do.....and modifications do I need for this conversion?

And last......but not the least where can I find an VE head !?!?!

Easy, not that hard to do and the engines are available in non uk cars

What's the advantage of doing this exchange?

Not a lot for overall power, as has now been proven with a sr20 making 950hp on a gtir/primera engine that will be 1200hp hopefully with some more tweeks soon, it's a more suitable head design for a high revving engine ...re 9500rpm and up.

I was going to do it many moons ago, didnt bother in the end, definitely a good way to go, beware though, they love big turbos so dont expect a lot of low down grunt, its all about revs and top end power. I would just build a Full VE motor rather than all the machine work of doing a head swap
