right people,

me and zia are changing my gearbox oil (as well as a few other bits) this coming sunday and so far i cant get my hands on either of the following:

-CASTROL SYNTHRAX 75W/90 FULLY SYN

OR

-SILKOLENE 75/90

ive been to Halfrauds  where the young kid looked and smirked at my car and said "our own oil will do mate" needless to say..i was out the door :x

been to motorist centre, and some little specialist shops.

the bloke who owned his own shop, knew the most and said that VALVOLINE 75W/90 would be fine, is this ok to use :?:

Please help as i need to get this oil sharpish

cheers!

As long as it is a 75W/90 then it should be ok we generally use millers.

Alot of places use valvoline.

There are set guild line to how they rate oils so they should all be the same in terms of thickness and heat range.

Been using the Silkolene syn5 for a few years now and it is top stuff.

Oilman, sourced it cheaper than my previous supplier and in under 23 hours mid week.

Anything is possible but it's a question of cost.

Up to 5 litres delivery charge mon-fri is £7.50, there is an extra £15 charge for saturday delivery.

Your call.

Cheers
