ho do folks.
Im considering chris S's black an unhealthy r for sale in the forum right now adn am needing some advice.
Im fairly compotent engine wise ( did my own big end bearings on my sx) and im keen on havin a crack at fixin this r up as its nice n cheap. Thing is im wanderin what other its are likely to have gone? Chris says he has done acompression leak down test and got it narrowed down to inlet side valve gear. Car is missing on load and running/startuing normally otherwise.
IF i was to get it whip off the head is changin just a valve recommended? what if its a valve seat ? IS there anything else more sinister it could be? Just tryin to work out how mcuh this "could" cost me if u know what i mean. Specially as im new to gtir's ( although i am runnign an almera gti at the moneht with similar engine non turbo'd)
