Tyre size help!

Could somebody please help with what tyre size I need to fit wheel size 17"x8" et35??

Try 215/35/17 or maybe 205/40/17. The 205s are slightly taller and the 215s are slightly wider. You might need to try the wheels on the see what clearance looks like on the damper and the wheel arch.
Others might fit, but I've no experience with 17s myself.

I had 205 on my 7" wheel, I would say 215s?

speak to a tyre fitter some wheel desing differ as do certain tyre wall styles but 205 on 8" is a stretch as far as i can remember

I'm using 225/45's on my 16's and 215/45's on my 17's, both are 7 inches wide so I wouldn't use anything less than 215 ;-)

205's will fit fine but depends if your after handling or just clearing the arches, 225's are the right width for 8's but won't clear standard arches, I have 235/45 17 on my 8" rims but I'm building wide arches to clear them

205s fit & are about flush with rim, even seen 195 on 8J but not something I would do myself or recommend as looks stupid & handling is shite.
