turbo upgrade

hi all i was wanting to know what turbo to go for as my own is leting out a bit of smoke when comeing off boost ,i have a forged engine but i dont want to go over the top with price.
so what turbo bolts straight on but is a good upgrade.

What power do you want to go for? GT2871R or GT3071 are common bolt ons.

350/400 bhp hope to run ive been thinking bout the gt3071r

2871 can just about do 400 but it's pushing it, so a comfortable 400 would be better on a 3071 as it'll be running cooler to achieve it.

Greddy turbos are awesome too. thats what im just fitting even if its not a straight bolt on.

on the 3071 what intake would be best 3in or 4in

Im pretty sure the 4in has clearance issues unless you use a spacer on the manifold.

go for the 3 inch (actually 2.75 inches) it's a straight bolt on

Well its what im fitting to mine atm its a t0625g so hope it should be good.

I'm not saying they're not good turbos. Just like HKS are good turbos doesn't stop them being over priced rebranded Garrett's with different end housings.

Got your rad on now Ed just need to get mine mapped, cant tell how long i will be able to have the turbo on as its lil smaller than my old 3071
