turbo lag

Hi guys and girls. I just put an HKS induction kit on my R and i now have a few Q's. Firstly my R sounds god damn sexy but the dump valve that was on the R when i brought it has got alot louder and also i seem to have abit of turbo lag or flat spot? anyone had a simmilar experience? Oh i haven't put in a cold air feed yet but will tommorow, maybe that will cure the lag?

Better still get a K&N filter 100 times better.

still better apexi rated the best in the tests ive seen hks were the worst and kand n the second best.

had k&n on previous cars, with the hks one you can replace the filter

Me too they cost a bomb but are supposed to be shite.I also have a flat spot around 0.40 of boost then it pulls through it.

yeh i know, you can wash it, i found it didn't work as gd after a good wash

Strange. I found the exact opposite with ours, and with the one I had on my old Peugeot 205 GTi. Found they still worked very well after cleaning and re-oiling.
