I was wondering about the same thing today, as I'd like to be able to run my 3071 at 220bhp for road use. Looked through the powerfc manual and came up with this. I'm guessing gain and duty are the same things. Perhaps this helps.

0.0% As long as my boost gauge is reading the same as the EVC I don't fiddle with it
