only problem i could see with that is the wastegate pipe would be very tight to rad & the hight on the wastegate mite hit the bonnet...
unless u want the wastegate cuming out ov the bonnet like the escort turbo
soz if my spelling aint great

I know one of the guys at Bruntingthorpe for the J-Tuner feature was running a top-mount manifold ( a red one ). He said he'd done it that way to allow easy access to the turbo, but hadn't seen much in the way of performance gains.

Thing was the heat from the turbo was causing the paint on his (fibreglassed) bonnet to peel, as he had no heat shielding, but you'd need a fair bit to stop y'bonnet melting!

Yes I agree with the rad bit, The waste gate points downwards so bonnet clearance wouldn't be a problem unless the turbo hits lol, I've emailed the seller asking for the measurements from the block to the outside edge of the wastegate once fitted ;-) .

I was thinking about heat being a problem, But a good quality turbo blanket should solve that problem 8) ;-) .

THat would be mine then. My external w/gate is underneath the manifold, not at the front so no issues with the radiator. WHere its mounted on that one wouldnt be an issue on a 200sx i wouldnt have thought. I'll get some pics if you want rob.

Heat from the turbo hasnt caused the paint to peel. Its a composite bonnet, theres no paint on it. Its just the finish its self that isnt that great. Im sure i still had some heat shielding above the turbo at that point aswell. Ive taken it off now as it lets the heat escape better. Only problem is if it rains it rains right onto the manifold/turbo ect. It doesnt really go out in the wet so not a problem for me.

THe main advantage is the size of the turbo you can fit there without issues of inlets hitting the gearbox ect. THeres no real performance gain that i can think of from having it there.

00sids isnt a top mount
these are ok but alot of the 200sx guys have thrown them away as they snap like theres no tomorrow but alot could be down to no bracing

Still waiting on some shims!
