That's the timing mark... the thing you're trying to line-up with the marks on your pulley?

Thanks Pobody,

would you mind talking me through the timing check process, Am i correct in thinking that its a case of disconnecting the TPS when warmed up, and checking with a strobe light that the last mark on the pulley is in line with the pin by unclamping the distributor and slightly moving this until the marks align?

Also, if the det sensor is showing code 34....... i understand that this can retard the ignition timing..... would this have any effect on me adjusting the timing as above?

cheers fella
