timing chain guides and tensioner

is a best to renew the timing chain guides both and the tensioner when rebuilding the engine. can the tensioner fail after high milage?
it came out of a engine with approx 70000 miles on it

I've heard of them being worn, not failing as such, so I would do it to save any potential problems later.

ive already got a timing chain from my last engine build which done 3000 miles so was goning to use that chain ( we wont talk about that eh hiteq). ive seen this set for sale is it a good price or best to go to local nissan and get it
