This ECU any good?

the other week, had to install some apexi stuff so needed soldering into the ECU, i always thought i had a standard ECU but turns out ive a

"Field" ECU, not a piggy back unit but the whole ECU GTIR one..(obviously)

whats everyones thoughts on these? any good? ive had no probs with it at all

anyone else have this ECU?

this is a daughterboard upgrade.
very common in japan, many big tuning companies do them.
blitz,mines,grid,techtom,jun......nice upgrade.
the only dowside is that it is mapped for japan fuel,so more ignition timing.
you should use optimax fuel.
with this chip no need for fuel computer .
with the right program you can also try to remap it to suti you mods.

a friend of mine had a field chip on his 'r', it had 3 switchable settings on a little controller. No one wanted to touch it in this country so he could never get the maps looked at or tweaked
