Thinking of buying a GTIR again .

Hey guys .

I owned a pulsar a few years back and never really got over selling it

Mine was a 92 forged engine / hybrid turbo ect kinda car .

I have been thinking of buying one again as I loved the car and could probably afford it now .

When i bought mine i was 17 and stupid , The guy selling it took me for a spin and I was instantly in love with it so I never really looked over the car properly .

This time now that I am slightly wiser I would like to give what ever i go to look at a proper going over . I know the arces give trouble but is there anything else one must really look over before buying?

I remember mine used to have a strange issue that at full boost and close to the red line it would have a strange stalling/jumping in the engine as if the flue had been cut off . I'm not sure what caused it but i would say it had something to do with a big turbo , 1.6 bar boost and a standard ish fuel system . Is this a common issue?

any help would be greatly appreciated .

Selling one of mine if your interested. I've 3 at present. One of them is a 602bhp unit the other is in mid race build. The one I'm selling is advertised on the Facebook Pulsar pages only last night.
K Reg 1992. 308bhp. Just been fully serviced MOTed till nov17 and freshly mapped. All evidence/invoices in my possession. Great Shell no obvious seen rust sections on her. Looking for £5,500.00 for her or very near as that's how much this one costs me and ones like these are hard to come by.

Well you have a problem then. As if you want a decent one now your going to have to dig deep. Or you can buy the cheap ones but then have to folk out a small fortune making it as good as this one. I'm from glasgow mate.

Just in the outskirts in a place called East Kilbride. If I still have her then I don't mind bringing her in to show you no problems.

If you want one that needs nothing then you're looking at 6k these days, I'd say Steve's is definitely worth a look and a good investment too, prices are on the rise.
