the rubber pipe on the tranfserbox

The rubber pipe on top of the transferbox where does it go and what does it do because my one not on it help please

its just a breather pipe,

Its supposed to clip into the Y bracket

because i just had new transferbox put on and remember seeing it on the old one but not bin put back on the new one
