Tailgate struts

Hi, the struts on my N14 GTI-R are worn out & the tailgate keeps slamming shut unexpectedly!

Where can I get hold of replacements?

Replacements are only going to be 2nd hand, so you are not going to much better off.

Here in Australia we have a couple of companies that regas struts and they cost about gbp45.00 a pair so a cheap alternative to trying to find or have someone make you struts to suit.

Thanks, I guess re-gassing the struts is an option. ..

Are they the same struts as for the Sunny Hatchback? Are they available from Nissan or other parts supplier?

Prob got some used ones somewhere, rally cars don't need them

They pretty easy get new as not R specific so got choice of oem nissan or aftermarket makes.
