do you need a laptop to use the support tool on the blue emanage,or can you use it through a pc and not laptop?

u could use though a pc if u were on a rolling road but mapping on the road wil be impossible with a desktop
u can also use the profec E the big screen boost controller

In a nut shell, you can play with the map on a laptop/PC without having the emanage conencted. In order to upload the map to the emanage, you need to have the emanage powered ON in car.
The support tools (software) must be installed on a PC/laptop.

I should assume there is a way how to power it ON off the car.

You cannot power it up out of the car unless you have a suitable power supply and connector. If you don't have the data lead, then you cannot communicate with it anyway.

Nismo-400r, do you have anyone near you who can do this for you. I've noticed you've started about 10 topics from the e-manage now, you could have had it done ages ago!
