does the sump have a gasket or is it just butted toether metal to metal and sealed with sealent?

no gasket.. just sealer use the genuine sealer as its excellent.. only trouble is its red.. or use mitsubishi sealer.its is the same but grey

Ive heard the genuine stuff is very expensive, Fiat do sealant for the punto sump which is abot £7 IIRC and its black. We use it al the time at work...well when we fit sumps :roll:
