sudden cut out

hi guys,

occasionally my R just cuts out massively (can be driving in gear or at a standstill. Usually I can re start the engine easily with no misfire or anything :? however the car did it about 4 times in the space of 100 yds yesterday.:sad: sometimes the ignition lights dont come on when the engine cuts.(couple of times the tickover just got lower and lower until cut out). Was wondering if this could be a blocked fuel filter? anyone any tips / thoughts or pics of how to replace this? The car seems to run ok when being driven / accellerating.

Could be a bad earth, I had the same thing on a old jeep I had.
