Last night on a private road, i met up with a mate of mine who is a scooby fanatic.
Needless to say, he looked at my car and started giving it the usual highland toffee. So to set matters straight, i offered him a sprint from a stop to a 1st gear rolling start.
Now, he claims his Subaru is close to 300bhp, (280 standard with filter, exhaust, FMIC etc). It has a cheesy wotsit load of torque, it certainly gives more of a pull-back then my GTiR.
So my car is supposed to be running 297bhp (0.9bar) with some good torque, anyway we are lined up on the private test and start rolling in 1st, he gives it some and i give it some and he pulls ahead in 1st, im soon in 2nd and catching up at an alarming speed. Now we are approching 3rd and ive gone well past him. Ive given him a gap of 5 cars and we both slowed down for a pigeon on the private road.
Are Subaru's really that slow? I was expecting a neck on neck race as my GTiR doesnt have the best condition clutch at the minute aswell..
It was a 4dr type-ra.
