I want to replace the standard steering wheel with a nice new momo type. My local halfords sell the wheels and boss and also provide a fitting service but when i asked how much it would cost to fit, they laughed when they told me it would be £70  I am sure it is a straight forward job but just wondered if anyone had any advice.

yeah remove centre part of standard steering wheel undo nut but dont fully remove it you should be able to losen the wheel be hiting it with your hand on the back at the quarter to nine position
if you dont leave the nut on you get a steering wheel in the face i know nearly broke my nose
