Simple question really, but what would make the GTiR a 2.1 if only changing the piston size?
Yep!Just think of all the people who scrapped 87mm blocks from bad info given who now read this and realise they were salvageable..........850hp has been run on stock 86mm liners so 450 ish would be a sensible max on 87.5 mm, we actually bored a block out to see at a machinest mates and it's surprising how thick the liners are, touring cars in n/a form were running over 300hp on 88mm bores and a 82mm stroke, and that was a 54c gtir block and head......no trouble with rockers either!!
