split in soft inlet pipe

hiya,
i have just noticed a crack in the soft inlet pipe inbetween the mushroom filter and where the pipe joins the turbo inlet. the crack is where the breather to the rocker joins the soft pipe. The car runs fine but dosent spool up as quick or dump excess boost as loudly. Not sure if the crack opens or sucks extra air etc.

Would this affect things as above?

Oh, that's why I can't do it? I thought it was to do with the ratings system; if you didn't have a rating you couldn't do it. - I know it says that people are "an unknown quantity at this point with no rating", but I can assure you that I can see when people have given you ratings.
