Speedo wires

Has anyone had problem with the signal coming from the gearbox via the ECU to the Speedo?

I can see one wire #32 speed sensor signal (is this from gearbox or to speedo?)

But where is the other wire?

"documents not found" from the links. MY speedo intermittently keeps dropping out, but I haven't looked at it yet to see if it's the delimiter or sensor in the gearbox. Just hope it isn't a worn diff as it was in my other car (not a gtir) when the speedo kept dropping out.

Its definitely not my speed delimiter thats causing my problems.

Going a couple of stages further, is it possible to get to the speed sensor plug on the gearbox without dropping the engine?[/quote]
