spare time!

Well had abit of spare time today so thought id find out why my passenger footwell is wet! i wasnt loosing water so i guessed the heater matrix was ok!

So took the wipers off & removed scuttle pannel! & guess what the plate behind it that covers the heater vent was rotted thru more than i expected :doh:
so ive removed it all now.

Any1 know the best way to solve this? do i need to find a new plate?

This happened to me too, luckily I had a more rotten sunny with an almost perfect panel at the time!

You could make one out of a bit of sheet steel or a bit of hard plastic. Or if you don't feel crafty then I imagine one of the breakers will have one.

cheers jimmy but im going t make a plastic cover & silicone round it as it dousnt rot! i found a thread on hear saying people silicone a plastic plate on! cheers lads!
