Finished my new subframe and arms last weekend. Driving to work today and hit a large piece of exhaust in the middle of the road at 50.

Crushed my new 3" elbowed downpipe, dented the little sump badly, dented the new subframe and busted my front number plate holder!!!

You can knock it out with a hammer going by previous accounts on here if you have trouble getting a spare.

yep get a copper mallet or ball pin hammer and carefully beat it back out again.
think yourself lucky you havent done the engine in through oil starvation as it only needs to be pushed up 3mm to starve the oil pickup

yes I suppose i should feel lucky. However after working on it all last weekend I was really excited what with the ecu, subframe brakes etc. Just a bit gutted
