Snapped bolt

Hi does anyone know how to remove a broken bolt i was bleeding my cooling system yesterday it was just starting to get tight and the head broke off :doh: and now its leaking its the bolt by the thermostat. any ideas? cheers

get a left handed drill from an engineering supplies and drill it out (you might have to remove the housing to do it)

the heat and direction of the drill will probibly remove the bolt

Often the act of drilling it with a normal bit will be enough to release the tension and loosen it - then you should be able to extract it if you stop as soon as it starts to spin; reversing the drill should then bring it out.

Left handed drill does sound like a much better idea though!
