smokeing!!

hi just wonderd if any1 had any idea what the problem would be every time i take it down the road for a drive and stop i seem to have smoke coming from the alternator side of engine and smells like buring oil any ideas?

probably an oil leak and oils dripping on exhaust manifold or downpipe

il have to look never use to do it untill i turned the boost up to 1 bar???

Oil seal on the turbo maybe? At 1 bar there's enough pressure to force oil out onto the exhaust (where it burns) - just a guess if the only thing you've done is upped the boost a little.

hi well ive found the oil leak its from the oil filter seal ive fitted a new oil filter and it still does it any idea!! not to sure a bout the oil pressure its allways been quite high its on 4 bar when hot on idle?? any ideas

Do you get much crank case blow-by? I'm wondering if you've got a slight exhaust leak, and it's forcing oil out.
Do you have a catch can or separator; maybe they're full and that's why the oil is getting burnt... although that would be the other side of the engine.
Ok, so I've got nothing.
