Slight chirp on gear change

Bearing in mind my car is completely standard, so i'm running standard exhaust, airbox, etc.

At high revs when i change gear i am able to hear a slight chirp on changing gear, is this normal?

Its probably coming from your air filter.


On second thoughts, actuator or BOV can do these chirps too

Certainly sounds like a boost related chirp, i just hadn't expected to hear anything on the standard closed system, I wonder if it's the standard recirc valve that's pinned shut and causing some turbo chatter?

The standard vacume line that goes to the re-circ can get clogged up, mine did and as a result the vavle stays closed. But if it is that you will know because it will chatter really loud and sound like a squirrell lol. Probably just a bit of chatter mate before the re-circ opens?
