'should have listened to Allen' or 'Iridium plug lifespan'

discovered that after about 8000miles the tip on my ngk iridium's had been eaten away .045mm not good :lol:

fitted a new set of s45i' s (cheers Ian) and iv got full boost again :D :D :D

MY R IS A MISSLE :twisted: 8) i damn near managed to scare myself today:lol:

the only hks plug i would ever think of using is teh drag plkugs on a mega spec engine and there 90 quid a plug lol

i remember what you about plugs, i just cant get my head round using an el cheapo copper core one :roll: :oops: :lol:

weeeell thats a bit of a thing you see, they' re meant to be 9' s but they were 8' s :? ngk' s. still fine for 1.4 bar though. Allen suggested i use cheap plugs (of the right heat range) and change em more often

at a guess id say it was normal wear and tear. obviously the tip will be slowly eroded with use but id have thought they would have lasted a little longer :roll:

better add there was still plenty of electrode left and if id closed the gap a little they' d have been fine for a while yet.

i' ll keep a close eye on the s45' s
