Well after all the pi$$ing about for the last few weeks trying to get my sh1tter to run we have now managed to get it running :-D

A big thanks to stumo for all his help and time. Also for supplying me all the new parts we have replaced but it turned out to be a ****ed dizzy. The strange thing is that the dizzy has just been sat in the boot of the car since the engine was stripped but decided not to work once i put it back on the car :evil:

Anway, happy days i can start to run in the new engine

The symptoms we're a really slow turning of the engine and the times we got it to fire it sounded like it was too far retarded.

The problem was a combination of the following:

A doddgy earth in the boot to the battery
A dead carbon contact in the dizzy cap
The bushes being totally worn in the starter motor
Nine month old Optimax
and a dead dizzy. I know the crank angle sensor is fine as it come up all clear on the fault code test.

It had us stumphed for a while as we had fuel, fuel pressure and a spark.

The turbo i have is the size and spec of a 3071R but not a 3071R if that makes sense? Not got the Power FC yet but will be telling the wife to get it ordered soon as it was a wedding gift from her to me.......over a year agao!
