Setting Emmisions

How do you set the the co mixture for MOT's as im sure mines running well too rich and guzzling fuel for fun.

Since i messed about with the idle control screw its gone realy bad and even with the screw turned in fully it still ticks over at 1100-1200rpm

any thoughts?

Their is a small adjustable screw on the back of the ECU to set idle mixture, but I wouldn't bugger about with it unless you have a decent CO meter. maybe you could take it to a garage and use their meter to tweek it for the MOT ?
