screech on start up.......

I seem to be getting a slight screech on start up (for about 5 seconds or so) This happened to me ages ago and someone advised me to tighten someting up - only thing is I cant remember! Its on the drivers sise of the engine bay.

Alternator drivebelt or Power steering drive belt?

i think poss the alt drive belt, cant remember, and cant find the post on here (it was ages ago)

Im quite sure its the alternator one, i had the same problem.

probably alternator belt, however tightening it may not work.
i tried tightening mine and it still sqealed, fitted a new one in the end and that sorted it. For the sake of £7, just fit a new one.

prob will do, it only happens when very cold and tightening it up last time did the trick
