the nissan sunny/pulsar gtir stndard is supposed to be a 220bhp engine at stock, when uprating it,for instance say 280bhp or more, what safety measures should be carried out?
i know clutch, brakes, front mount, turbo timer are all good help, aswell as fully synthetic engine oil in services should be done atleast every 6k,what other safety measures or things/reccomendations that should be done?
ive heard about aftermarket oilcooler/oil seperators is this essential?
anythingelse?
thanks

Depends how far you want to go.

For 280bhp - you're looking at about 1bar boost.

Add an uprated fuel pump to your list for safety.
And a decent boost controller.

FMIC isn't necessary at 1bar but it's always a nice thing to do if you have the cash.

That will be fine.

But if you intend to go on past about 1 bar, you need to be thinking about fuelling. SO you will need a fuel controller of some sort - and for major power bogger injectors. But by the time you get to that point you'll be thinking about a different turbo.

The more power u want the more oil and water cooling u will need to help keep the engine in one piece. U can never put these measures in early enough.
